Trae Bell-Haynes, TBH, pulls up on Canada Hoops! Trae sits down with your boy Matty to share his basketball story thus far. TBH talks about his season with Casademont Zaragoza and what the squad is looking to accomplish this year. Trae tells Matty about growing up in Toronto, Ontario where TBH always loved basketball at an early age. Trae talks about other players he tried to model his game after, playing at Bill Crothers and how he got an offer from the University of Vermont to play Division 1 basketball. Trae reflects on his time as a Catamount and the relationships he built at Vermont. Trae tells Matty about turning pro and what that process was like for him. Trae talks about the CEBL and why it's such a great league and much needed for basketball in Canada.
And you know we talk about Canada Basketball with TBH! Trae talks about playing for the SMNT for Canada Basketball at the recent 2020 FIBA World Cup; winning the bronze medal and helping the SMNT qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Trae tells Matty what it means to him to represent Canada with the SMNT for Canada Basketball; especially during the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers to get the SMNT to the FIBA World Cup. Trae talks about the play of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Dillon Brooks and the leadership of the veterans like Kelly Olynyk, Dwight Powell and Melvin Ejim with the SMNT this summer and let's us in on "Not Bell-Haynes" ! And TBH drops a great Top 5 of all time for Canada Basketball on us.
