Jasmine Bascoe, the young dawg and 2023 U19 FIBA World Cup Bronze medalist, pulls up on Canada Hoops! Jasmine sits down with your boy Matty to share her basketball story thus far. Jasmine tells us how she is preparing and training right now at Kings Christian as she winds down her high school/prep career. Jazz talks about feeling ready to start her career at Villanova this fall when she becomes a Wildcat. Jasmine tells Matty how basketball got started for her as she always found herself in a gymnasium while her family was either coaching or playing. Jazz tells us about her recruiting process and how she narrowed her choice down to Villanova. Jasmine talks about playing for Canada Basketball and what it has meant to her and the rest of her family. Jasmine talks about playing at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup, playing for Head Coach Carly Clarke and how Jazz and the rest of the players in the age group will be key pieces for Canada Basketball for years to come. Jasmine talks about training and competing with the SWNT, how her time with the SWNT has developed her game, learning from some of her idols and seeing what it takes to play at that high, professional level. Jasmine speaks about playing for SWNT Head Coach Victor Lapena and how she is locked in on the upcoming Olympic Qualification tournament in Hungary for the SWNT. And you know Jasmine drops a great Top 5 of all time for Canada Basketball on us!
